Greetings and Thank you fo visiting www.marshakarenolson.com. I'm Marsha Karen Olson and I've been painting for over 30 years. I attended Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Art & Design, Los Angeles and graduated in 1992 with a BFA in Fine Art with a concentration in drawing and painting. My work is based on

elements of ancient shamanic instruments, ancient ancestral lineage, ancient spirits, ancient protectors, spirit animals, nature, science, sound, performance, drumming and the power of creative energy through meditation and painting while creating my pieces.

My work consists of a mixture of painting on canvas,wood, found objects, natural materials, sculptures, hand sewn shamanic accessories, to large scale installation pieces. i've been fortunate to work with family and friends through the years from creating various solo exhibitions and collborating with family to create work that brings people together, while taking the viewers and participants on a journey that awakens your mind and brings positive energy through performance art and helping others through art.
